Crested Butte 2013
We enjoyed cooler weather in Crested Butte this year! Hannah's first trip and Sarah's second time to learn to ski. Nanny and Pappy picked us girls up and we drove to Colorado, stopping in Santa Fe on the way. Nanny started off coughing in Georgetown and poor Nanny did not recover until about 2 weeks later. The girls did wonderfully in the car..Hannah slept and Sarah was busy with activities and movies. We had a fun stop in Santa Fe and enjoyed a Pink Adobe dinner. Sarah and Pappy ( as seen in the pictures) were artists in residence at our hotel before dinner. We made it to Crested Butte the following day and got Sarah's ski gear all organized. She had a couple of private lessons to see if she was still interested and then she wanted to go to CB Ski School in the Bear Cub class. She did wonderfully and LOVED going, meeting friends and being a class leader. BY the end of the trip she was able to put her own skis on, learning to make a wedge and still working on stopping :) Loves the magic carpet though! Jordan, Ryan, Amanda and GB enjoyed skiing and Nanny and I took care of the little ones. We had a great dinner at Slogars one night and had the Schendles over ( our Smith family cousins) for dinner and some cousin playtime. We had a stop at the ER in Raton, NM for Nanny's ear infection, memorable!
It was a great trip ( minus the sickness) had by all!
