This was the inaugural year for Camp Buschman and we had so much fun that
we will hopefully do it for years to come. Camp Buschman was a weeklong
adventure at the ranch with Tia, Wyatt, Evie, Sarah, Hannah and me along with
and Nanny and Pappy. I helped plan themed days, along with corresponding arts and crafts and
activities. Tia was number one assistant and kid wrangler.
Nanny and Pappy greeted us with a homemade sign.
The first full day was Cowboy Day. We had with a horseshoe hunt, where we were met by Cowboy Pappy.
The real deal.
Uncle Clayton
We had organized fun accessories for all
the kids... monogrammed shirts, backpacks, hats, and gear like
binoculars and walkie talkies.
The next day was Indian Day. Chief
White Ryno came down for one day/night and met us first thing in the
morning, dressed for the part and with face paint and tomahawks for the
rest of the crew.
We made rain sticks out of paper towel rolls and our rain dance worked
because that afternoon/evening we had a huge storm roll through,
complete with a post storm double rainbow.
The final theme day was Texas Day and our troops hunted for antlers and fed and rode the horses. That afternoon we drove into town, got treats at DQ, and then stopped
for pictures by the Pearsall Peanut... Pearsall markets over 55 million
pounds of peanuts annually!
Such a fun week!
